Tee-ball Love

This body of work captures the tender, fleeting moments of childhood as seen through the game of tee-ball. At its core, these images are less about sport and more about the rhythm of discovery, resilience, and joy that unfolds on the field.

The photographs trace a journey—from quiet reflection behind the fence, to the thrill of running bases, to the warmth of encouragement from teammates and coaches. Each frame holds the tension between vulnerability and courage, showing how even the smallest players step into spaces of challenge and triumph.

I am drawn to the ways in which tee-ball becomes a metaphor for growth: the tentative first swings, the guidance of patient hands, the unspoken bonds of friendship, and the jubilant celebrations that follow small victories.

Through light, gesture, and expression, I aim to honor these 5 and 6-year-olds not just as athletes but as storytellers of their own becoming—eager, unguarded, and radiant with possibility.
