Not the Right Way
This fragment of the Berlin Wall bears a message that remains inescapably clear: Not the right way. Written decades ago, it stands as both warning and witness. The Wall was more than a barrier. It was a system of control, built to divide families, restrict movement, and enforce obedience. Its surface became a site of resistance, where language carried truths power could not erase.
The erosion of democracy does not happen all at once. It unfolds through choices that weaken accountability and normalize abuse of power. We are part of that continuum. The writing on the wall is not subtle. It is telling us exactly where this leads.
This is not the right way.
